BASIS

Generally the festival program is open and free of charge to everyone who is genuinely interested in the topics. Only in some program sections does participation require a separate invitation, membership or advance external registration.

By registering for the festival here online, you can express your interest in different programs. At the same time, you have a possibility to join the mailing list of the annual event and/or Wasa Innovation Center.

The goal is to continue the festival themes and monitor the progress of decisions made in the program sections throughout the year.

MISSION

Concrete action.
Each event sets out to determine concrete actions to develop Finland and the region. These actions are being followed up on a yearly basis. Past years have resulted in the birth of projects such as the EnergySAMPO-fund and the Vaasa-Umeå bridge.

VALUES

​Environment
The event is 100% carbon free. The electricity comes from a combination of sun and wind energy. The cooling is handled by a ground source heat pump. All the drink and food are carbon neutral and sourced from local producers.

Teamwork
We believe that teamwork and the common good is more important than the interests of any one organization.

International
We work across language barriers. The programming is from the ground up in three languages.

Equality
We believe that each person should be given a fair chance and treated as an equal.

Event Area

All Wasa Future Festival events are located in the Bock’s Corner area in Vaasa, only 2,4km from City Center. You can reach the area easily by car, public bus, bike or walking. The address is Pohjolankatu 1, VAASA (Destination: Wasa Innovation Center and Bock’s).

The main venue is Wasa Innovation Center (Mind Square, Right Wing) and the other venues Barn, Garage, Ball Room are just a few steps away. Terra:Forms and other exhibitions are also located near-by, just across Pohjolankatu -street.
